1. Review of Past Events & Improvements
Halloween Happening: Decide whether to keep 2-day format or consolidate to 1 day; plan earlier prep next year. Incorporate music and possibly a party/trick-or-treat element (Amber). Consider pub crawl.
End of Summer Party: Reach out to Friends of Noise for performers; explore using vacant Work Co parking lot for future events. Use Street Plaza Association performer database.
Wine Walk: Maintain successful model (sold out).
Murals: Explore additional locations for murals; work with Strong Towns for street painting/block party permits; obtain permission for private parking lot murals. Mural on Fifty Licks expansion approved.
Rainbow Road (RR): Plan for stage permanence vs. moveable options; request funding and signage from Greg; expand RR programming (e.g., crop swap, live music + yoga).
Kernside Serenade: Consider Saturday scheduling; improve promotion and lead time for full programming.
Fitness Events: Beer Keg Strongman and Free Classes: Plan for 3 next year, invite Rosenstadt
2. Event Brainstorming & Programming
Develop more RR events: permanent QR codes, merch, pride events, greenway events, mascots.
Collaborate with experienced street fair organizer (Amy Ferber).
Explore Sunday “introvert” gatherings, fitness events (plan 3rd strongman; next in April).
Plan for backup venues in case of rain.
Coordinate outreach on social media collaboratively.
3. Member Engagement
Launch survey: feedback on events, ideal activities, encouragement for more participation, business performance. Use multi-checkbox with optional text box.
4. Cross-Promotion & Marketing
Bring flyers, coupons, and promos to next meeting for swaps.
Consider trades/discounts among businesses and customers.
Develop website discount page and stamp card system.
Strategize promotion for higher-ticket businesses.
5. Media & Documentation
Mini-doc footage on hold; Amber suggests potential collaborators for future projects.
6. Local Business & Food Cart Pod
Discuss closure timeline, reasons, and potential solutions.
7. Organizational Focus
Maintain apolitical stance; focus on hyperlocal impact rather than broader political issues (ACLU/Oregon Justice Research Center discussion).
