1. Review of Past Events & Improvements

  • Halloween Happening: Decide whether to keep 2-day format or consolidate to 1 day; plan earlier prep next year. Incorporate music and possibly a party/trick-or-treat element (Amber). Consider pub crawl.

  • End of Summer Party: Reach out to Friends of Noise for performers; explore using vacant Work Co parking lot for future events. Use Street Plaza Association performer database.

  • Wine Walk: Maintain successful model (sold out).

  • Murals: Explore additional locations for murals; work with Strong Towns for street painting/block party permits; obtain permission for private parking lot murals. Mural on Fifty Licks expansion approved.

  • Rainbow Road (RR): Plan for stage permanence vs. moveable options; request funding and signage from Greg; expand RR programming (e.g., crop swap, live music + yoga).

  • Kernside Serenade: Consider Saturday scheduling; improve promotion and lead time for full programming.

  • Fitness Events: Beer Keg Strongman and Free Classes: Plan for 3 next year, invite Rosenstadt

2. Event Brainstorming & Programming

  • Develop more RR events: permanent QR codes, merch, pride events, greenway events, mascots.

  • Collaborate with experienced street fair organizer (Amy Ferber).

  • Explore Sunday “introvert” gatherings, fitness events (plan 3rd strongman; next in April).

  • Plan for backup venues in case of rain.

  • Coordinate outreach on social media collaboratively.

3. Member Engagement

  • Launch survey: feedback on events, ideal activities, encouragement for more participation, business performance. Use multi-checkbox with optional text box.

4. Cross-Promotion & Marketing

  • Bring flyers, coupons, and promos to next meeting for swaps.

  • Consider trades/discounts among businesses and customers.

  • Develop website discount page and stamp card system.

  • Strategize promotion for higher-ticket businesses.

5. Media & Documentation

  • Mini-doc footage on hold; Amber suggests potential collaborators for future projects.

6. Local Business & Food Cart Pod

  • Discuss closure timeline, reasons, and potential solutions.

7. Organizational Focus

  • Maintain apolitical stance; focus on hyperlocal impact rather than broader political issues (ACLU/Oregon Justice Research Center discussion).

Meeting adjourned with thanks to all attendees. Follow-ups on event planning, cross-promotion, and survey implementation to be coordinated via email and future meetings.
