The main Action Point is this:

If you want to put your name forward for any of the five elected Board positions please email myself and shay@kernside.org before the end of the week.

1. We will then organize a coffee meeting with all candidates next week, inviting the chairman of the KNA board and potentially one or two other folks to give us their advice on how to form an effective, representative board.

2. After that the nominees will be introduced to all members on this mailing list with a short bio and statement about what they want to achieve in the role.

3. And we will hold elections at next month's meeting!

I am deeply committed to this project and will stand for election, FYI. The last five months have been a lot of work but it's been so rewarding and fun. If you care about this neighborhood too, and feel like you have the capacity and enthusiasm to offer, I highly recommend that you come and find out more.

We are facing a number of tough national and local challenges over the next couple of years, but we can weather the storm and come out of it stronger if we put in the work to help one another and engage local residents.

Everything we've done so far has been received with excitement and engagement by the community (e.g. our Insta is up 220 ppl over the last month alone, more than doubling in size), and that confirms my thesis that there is tremendous untapped energy in Kernside.

Let's activate it.
